'I Can't Wait To Get A Hold Of The Other DVDs'
I actually flew this last weekend and it went better than expected. I'm
actually looking forward to my next flight (not sure when that will be but
it will be sometime in the Spring!).
I wasn't able to finish the DVD's before my flight but it was enough to help me on this flight (as it was only
1 hour 40 minute flight). I plan on purchasing the other DVD's (as my budget allows!). The controlling anxiety DVD I am going to watch all the way through as I believe it willl help me in other areas of my life where I
have anxiety!
I can't wait to get a hold of the other DVD's. Thank you so much for this program. It has helped me to feel like I can live my life and actually not anticipate all the doom that I have experienced in the past!
Respectfully,

To Keep You Scared (through November 7th)
The Liquid Bomb Hoax
I continue to get emails from people who say recent security measures have caused them great anxiety. Each time I explain the arrests were done prematurely because of the fall political season, and there is no liquid bomb risk on a plane. British officials now admit the people arrested had not been able to produce any liquid explosives. British officials also said it was unclear if they ever would be able to.
There is nothing that outrages me more than attempts to victimize people I try to help deal with flight anxiety.
Were You Among Those Deceived By The WMD Hoax? Don't be deceived By This One.
Liquid bombs can't take a plane down. It is simply not possible to make and use a liquid bomb in a way that an airliner could be attacked. Liquids which must be mixed to produce a liquid explosive must be mixed drop by drop for hours; a great deal of heat is produced. The mixture must be kept chilled during mixing. It is not possible to spend hours and hours in the toilet of the plane mixing chemicals and keeping them cool with huge amounts of ice.

Hi Capt Tom!
I recently returned from Florida on August 25 and posted the following on the Tracking Board. I can't thank you enough for helping me through what I thought was an impossible feat! Flying this time was a completely different experience ~ all thanks to SOAR!
Thank you SO much for tracking my flight! What a nice feeling it was knowing someone was 'thinking of me'. The flight was perfect! I can't believe I'm actually saying that! Changes in altitude??? Never even noticed! There were a few 'bumps' ... that is, to me. Of course no one else noticed a thing! I was actually able to read, talk to my sons and husband and look out the window!
The last time I flew (over a year ago), I was a wreck! I sat with my eyes closed, white-knuckled all the way. I cannot even begin to tell you how different this time around was. Coming home on Friday (8/25), we were delayed over an hour and there were storms up and down the east coast. I was nervous that it would be a rough ride. Yes, a little, but I was able to calm myself every single time! ... 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 ~ relax ... heavy sigh..
Disney was a blast! Hot a few days, but still worth every moment! Hope to visit again next year!
A tip that really helped me ... Meeting the pilots is such a huge help! But also, on both flights I walked to the back of the plane where the flight attendants were working. I was able to talk to them, get to know them a little, told them of my fears, etc. Not only did it make the time go by, but all of them were so nice and willing to talk as long as I stood there! I think just knowing that they fly all the time, have families, etc. made me feel that much more at ease.
I'm so proud of myself!
